An Open Letter to My LA Sisters
Share
To my sisters in LA,
I cannot begin to fathom the devastation you all are experiencing right now with the wildfires blowing through. Your pain and grief must be immense.
Just last night, a member of the church I recently joined shared a story about the loss of their childhood home from these fires, and how their own child's home is still standing but unsafe due to the asbestos in the walls. Facts that I cannot change, but emotions I felt so deeply empathetic and compassionate towards.
I came on here to say that you are not alone.
In this dark time, I invite you to look towards the light in others. To be inspired. To feel the love and resources pouring in from all across the country. They will not take away your pain, but if you'll allow it, they will teach you the beauty that still exists in this world. For we are never truly broken.
For the love and glory of God (AKA: Divine Source, Source, Spirit, the Infinite Universe, Creator, Infinite Creator) above is within us all no matter the religion, sexual orientation, demographics, who you love, what you wear, what you've done, or what has been done to you. There is beauty around us everywhere. We are all God's children.
And the way we as children overcome this hardship, is by allowing ourselves to feel our grief and by embracing the loving outstretched arms our communities are offering to us.
Be held. Be loved. And Be Kind to one another.
With Love and Light,
Lady Lighthouse ✨💜
