Vulnerable. Empowered. Surrendered.

This collection was painted by me on Christmas Day the year I had separate from my husband. I was alone in a kitchen with 8 10x10 canvases, my acrylic paints and a speaker. I was yearning for him to take me back, and I was also yearning to not lose the parts of myself I had discovered from our time apart. The only way I knew how to move forward was to get into my body. That meant putting on music and allowing myself to feel, move, and be seen. So I danced. And I recorded myself, so I could watch it back. I noticed during my dance and in the recording that I kept coming to this same sequence of movements. It felt vulnerable. It felt empowered. It felt surrendered. It felt good!

Suddenly, I could see the energy that was flowing all around me. Thus, I began to paint. 

The original art lives above the windows in my office as my own daily reminder to surrender.

Interior Color Choices

Each mug can be customized to have 1 of 3 different interior colors. Like all things on Lady Lighthouse®, the colors were chosen for a reason. The pink interior mugs were chosen to represent Love. The Yellow interior mugs were chosen to represent Healing, and the Black interior mugs were chosen to represent Protection.
